This was in my email inbox this morning from Dhyana Yoga. It sounds amazing and I really wish it was on a day I could make it (I’m getting married on the 9th!). Regardless, I am thankful for the yoga community and all of the wonderful teachers I have had the chance to learn from. Even though the days of 90 minute practices seem so far away, I am grateful for the tools that yoga has brought into my life.
Yoga for Mothers
w/ Hannah Tsapatoris MacLeod
Saturday, November 9, 2013, 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Location: Dhyana Yoga SEVA Center
Geared towards mothers and fathers of small children who are seeking ways to incorporate their yoga practice into their parenting, this 3 hour workshop will involve Asana, Pranayama, Meditation and Journaling & Discussion. We will use breath to find patience and meditation as a tool to control parental impulses. We will be discovering a path to non-violent forms of discipline. Through this discovery process, we’ll create ways in turn, to teach our children how to use these techniques as well, in order to help create compassionate, sensitive, non-violent humans. Students are asked to bring a mat, a notebook, an open mind and a willingness to explore their hidden potential.
