Mykonos on a budget

One of my hometown highlights is a visit to the Sponge Docks in Tarpon Springs. It’s like a mini Greek village right here in the United States. The food is delicious, the accents authentic and the vibe is just what you’d find in a small Greek island. We have our usual favorite spots (Mr. Souvlaki) but this time we decided to try a new restaurant based on the crowd of locals we saw dining inside.

A weird but popular Tarpon Springs tradition: Greek salad with potato salad

(I’m not a potato salad fan so I requested it on the side for M instead of hidden under the lettuce like it usually comes)

Just a simple spread for two

Complimentary dessert

What are your favorite spots to visit in your hometown?

I have so many! The beach, the Sponge Docks, Sonny’s and The Jerk Hut rank the highest.
